This Privacy Notice explains why and how Derbyshire Concrete Ltd uses the data that we collect from you. It is written in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force on 25 May 2018. You can trust us to act in line with this Privacy Notice.

Derbyshire Concrete Ltd is a data controller. We collect personal data about our customers and we are responsible for using that data.

WHY WE PROCESS YOUR DATA

There are two main reasons that we process your data:

1. Because you have contacted us to quote or book a concrete delivery. We will send a quote or booking confirmation to your email address, and use your personal data to take payment and deliver your concrete order. The legal basis for this is: 1) consent – you have given us clear consent to process your email address to send you a booking confirmation; and 2) contract – the processing is necessary for the completion of our contract with you.
2. Because you have opted into our marketing emails. To do so, you fill out and submit an online sign-up form. We then send you a confirmation email and a link that you must click to verify your email and confirm your subscription. We use the ‘double opt-in’ feature on MailChimp to facilitate this. The legal basis for this is consent – you have given us clear consent that you want to receive our marketing emails.

HOW WE SHARE YOUR DATA

We don’t share your data with third parties.

We use a manual diary system or excel database to store your contact information and details of your order. If you provide us with an email address, this may be stored in Outlook. If you go ahead with your order, your details will be added to VT Transaction + for accounting purposes.

TRANSFERRING YOUR DATA OUTSIDE THE UK

We do not transfer your data outside the UK.

HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

We will keep your data for three years after the date of your final concrete delivery. We review our records and delete expired customer data on a yearly basis.

YOUR RIGHTS

It is your right to request access to your personal data. You can do this by getting in touch with us via email, telephone or post, using the contact details provided at the top of this Privacy Notice. We will provide you with details 30 days of your enquiry, free of charge. We’ll send this as an email or via post.

You also have the right to correct or delete your personal data from Derbyshire Concrete Ltd systems (Excel, VT Transaction + and Outlook) or to restrict how your data is processed. You can request this at any time via email, telephone or post. If you have previously given us consent to use your personal data, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.

HOW TO COMPLAIN

WHY WE NEED YOUR DATA

We require your data so that we can process your booking, send a booking confirmation, deliver your concrete, take payment and send you a receipt. If you do not provide us with this personal information, then we are not able to fulfil our contract with you.

We do not use your data for automated decision making.
